Don Thibaut has worked in the government and public affairs arena for more than three decades. A veteran of Ohio political and governing strategy, Thibaut has a range of experience at the state and federal level, before founding The Credo Company.
Thibaut was instrumental in John Kasich's early political career, aiding Kasich's election to the Ohio Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives. He went with Kasich to Washington, serving as his Chief of Staff for nearly 20 years.
Born just outside of Grove City and raised in Columbus, Thibaut is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in German Village. He is a history buff and an avid fan of the Texas Longhorns.
Bobby Kovey is an experienced business development and government relations consultant, having worked extensively in both the public and private sector.
Prior to founding The Credo Company with Don Thibaut, Kovey worked within various offices of government. He began his career in government as a page in the Ohio Senate. Later, he served as a legislative aide in the Ohio House of Representatives.
After his time in the legislature, Kovey managed and worked on several campaigns.
In 2010, Kovey helped found The Credo Company - a boutique business consulting and government relations firm, based in Columbus, Ohio.
As managing partner of The Credo Company, Kovey oversees the firm's multiple lines of business - including consulting, commercial real-estate and private equity.
Since 2010, The Credo Company has become one of the top business development and government relations consulting firms. The company assists organizations ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to non-profit associations.
Born in Binghamton, N.Y. and raised in Pennsylvania and Northeast Ohio, Kovey is a graduate of The Ohio State University's Max M. Fisher College of Business. There he earned a B.S.B.A. degree in Finance.
Kovey is a long-time mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio, with which he has had two little brothers. A fan of college basketball and football, Kovey passionately follows The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Bobby and his wife, Haley, reside in the historic neighborhood of Clintonville, where they are members of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Dr. James (Jamie) Caridi has strong credentials in educational leadership and 18 years of executive experience well suited to advance The Credo Company’s mission and our clients diversified needs.
As a highly skilled leader, Dr. Caridi has delivered sound executive management, strategic planning, budget development, fundraising, contract negotiation and operational excellence to the organizations he’s served. He is widely regarded as an authentic leader of integrity and productivity and is trusted and valued by the educational, corporate, and donor community.
Prior to working with The Credo Company, Dr. Caridi served as Vice President for Student Development at Ohio Dominican University (Columbus, OH) and as the Associate Vice President & Dean of Students at Saint Vincent College (Latrobe, PA).
Dr. Caridi holds a bachelor's degree in Biology from St. Vincent College, a master's degree in Higher Education from Geneva College, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Higher Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Currently, Dr. Caridi actively serves on several boards. He is President of the Saint Catharine School Advisory Board, an Executive Committee Member of the Saint Stephen’s Community House Board of Trustees, and a member of the St. Gabriel Catholic Radio Board.
Dr. Caridi and his family live in Gahanna, OH and are members of St. Catharine Parish.
Mr. Samuel provides clients with strategic guidance, cultivated resources, and a comprehensive approach focused on issue management, public perception and political forces.
He has unique insight and knowledge of complex governmental and business structures serving in executive management positions at five cabinet-level agencies in the administrations of two Ohio Governors. Mr. Samuel has served as a key policy strategist, chief spokesman, principal legislative agent and crisis coordinator.
Mr. Samuel is a Fellow of Cleveland State University’s Levin College of Urban Affairs Energy Policy Center and a Fellow of the Ohio Manufacturing Institute at The Ohio State University. He served as a co-author of Driving Ohio’s Prosperity, a strategy document for Ohio’s automotive and advanced manufacturing sector. He was an advisor on An Analysis of The Economic Potential for Shale Formations in Ohio and was a contributing writer for Crain's Cleveland Business energy report. He is a member and past vice-chair of the Columbus Chamber's Government Affairs Steering Committee. He was appointed to the Clean Ohio Council by Governor John Kasich in 2012, previously served as Vice President of CompeteColumbus and also as a founding board member of the Nemacolin Energy Institute.
Prior to work with The Credo Company, Mr. Samuel served the Governor of Ohio personally as Executive Assistant for Business & Industry, the primary advisor and liaison between Ohio’s business community and the Office of the Governor; providing policy review, recommendations and advice. Mr. Samuel also served as the governor’s primary liaison to seven cabinet agencies and two commissions: the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, the Departments of Development, Transportation, Taxation and Agriculture, the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, the Industrial Commission of Ohio, the Ohio Turnpike Commission and the Ohio Expositions Commission.
Mr. Samuel led successful efforts to achieve lawsuit and workers’ compensation reforms, the creation of the Ohio Business Development Coalition, and served as the lead in responding to numerous energy policy matters, reliability and industry crisis response issues, including the Blackout of 2003. He also led state preparation efforts for the 2005 DoD Base Realignment and Closure review. His tenure was highlighted by the passage of historic tax reform legislation for which he was recognized at the highest levels as being instrumental to the success with reforming Ohio’s antiquated tax system. Immediately prior to his appointment to the Governor's Staff, Mr. Samuel served eight years as Deputy Administrator & Chief of Corporate Affairs for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, at the time the largest single-line insurer in the nation with more than $22 billion in assets.
Jim is a native of Northeast Ohio and began his career working in the family print shop in downtown Cleveland. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Social & Behavioral Sciences and received an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force. Jim lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife Heidi and their two children. Jim is a member of Saint Catharine Catholic Church in Columbus, Ohio and Holy Trinity Catholic Church in West Union, Ohio. He is an active sportsman and hunter.
Amanda Wilson is the newest member of The Credo team. She brings with her a unique perspective and skill set she acquired as a business manager for a high-end automotive company and as an account manager of a logistics company.
Amanda loves the small business environment and has an enthusiasm for working with people, building relationships and solving their problems. She has a genuine, engaging personality that is complimented by her drive to succeed and a desire for new challenges. All of these attributes make Amanda a great fit as the organization component to Credo's already fantastic team.
Though born on the west coast, Amanda now considers herself an Ohio native, having lived in Cincinnati for 12 years and Columbus for 10. She currently lives in Grandview with her active nine-year-old daughter Emily. She volunteers with her church and fosters pets at the Capital Area Humane Society. She practices Bikram yoga and continues to enjoy the collector car industry by judging and attending Concours d'Elegances in the Midwest.
